Roger Hurley...

Dear Ralph and Rod,  thank you for a great effort in putting together the Reunion and for doing such an excellent job as MC and Band leader respectively.

The Friday night was a hoot, catching up with all the old faces (and some not so old). Sorry I didn't realise it was a boys only night, but Tinker had a good time also.

My further apologies for not getting the dress code right on the Saturday night. It just goes to show I don't read things properly, or put it down to a Seniors moment!!

The irony is that I am hosting a Xmas party this Friday for staff and am berating them to not come casual, to dress up a bit.

Tracey Roberts *  said she was staggered that it was a celebration of failed people in 12 course. Being unborn at the time we were going to Frognall,  and currently working for the Department of Defence with a partner still in the airforce, she imagined it was a celebration of the success of Frognall as a training establishment. All the more reason to compliment you on getting so many people together who basically dropped, or bought their way out.

The beer at the Oxford Scholar was the best I have had for a long time Carlton Draught, cold glasses and Pints. Wow I'm getting thirsty again.

Rod if you wanted to tell me what you do with your retirement time; you have been doing for a while now, I am interested as my turn is coming up.

And Ralph, Kevin Rudd promised not to alter the Superannuation arrangements; now have you ever known a politician to change a promise after being elected; I mean really!!!

Once again well done for organising a great reunion.

(* due to a late entry, the only seat left for Tracey, was on a 12 Course table, sat between Roger Hurley and Frank Grimshaw. Poor girl probably wondered what she'd done wrong in an earlier life!)

Bob Mckinnon   That was a fantastic function on the weekend. Thanks again. It was good to catch up Ralph. Cheers, Bob

Eric Lording  Hi Rod, just wanted to let you know that Faye and I had what could only be described as the 'best time' at the 07 reunion dance last night.
Catching up with the guys was more like me going back in time.  The memories, the familiar voices, made me feel just like home.  There was no big noting, all were totally sincere, and they genuinely wanted to catch up and hear what you had to say.
Lots of reunions leave out the wives. This one included them and made it so very precious.   I am sorry I could not attend the BBQ, but wanted to get a thank-you out to you before trundling off to Asia.
Thanks so much for all your work in setting this web site up.  It is first class. All the best olde mate, and thanks again for a wonderful and memorable evening last night.

Patrick McCormack  18/19 DCS Hello Rod and Committee, On behalf of my wife and I we had a great night and it was great to see the "OLD and BOLD" in action - many thanks for a wonderful night.

Fergal Fleming   Rod and everyone Thanks for organising the reunion - it was great. It was good to see all the (not so) old faces again. It was also very reassuring to see I am not the only reprobate around here!
With respect to the next reunion I reckon 2010 - half of us will not be able to walk by 2013! Though if you put these things too close together one does not get the same impact.
I walked along the Yarra looking for the BBQ on Sunday but did not initially see where it was. So I walked through the Gardens then back and came across some of the lads. All up I walked for nearly 4 hours - something that is bloody nearly fatal in Darwin. I have done 5 hour walks here and could not dehydrate. In Melbourne I did not even stop for some water (despite Saturday night!). There is something to be said for temperate climates.  Cheers...

Cheryl and Gary Riley To Rod and all the guys who helped organise last weekend. Have just arrived home and have access to my computer again. Cheryl and I had to write and say thanks to the organisers of last weekend's reunion. We had a great time, especially catching up with some of the mob who I had not seen in over 40 years. We soon settled into a routine (mainly drinking etc) as if it was only yesterday. We also caught up with some friends that we had lost contact with and have made arrangements to see each other again the next time we are in Melbourne. I appreciate the effort that goes into organising such functions, especially with the large numbers, the late entries, the ever changing requirements and satisfying everyones' wishes.
Also, many thanks for inviting the 11 Course members. We had a magnificent time.
If any of you are in Newcastle, don't forget to contact us if we can help you in any way.
Many thanks for the invite and the great time had by all. Best wishes and all the best for Christmas and the New Year

Terry Ingram Hi Rod,  I am definitely interested in copies of the evening's photos + Scruff's DVD - count me in! Again, a fantastic evening it was and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We didn't leave the Hotel till nearly 4:00am (partied on with some Froggers residents) but paid for it next day! Can't really pull the all-nighters like we used to - I guess some things do change… Thanks to you and you support team / helpers; it was very worthwhile and much appreciated. Regards, Terry

Chris Murphy   Glenn and Rod, Many thanks for a wonderful night last Saturday. Everyone I met all said they had a fantastic time. It was great catching up with everyone from 23 Course, but it was also a great opportunity to meet some of the other graduates. I especially enjoyed the speeches.    Regards, Chris

David Conran   Rod,  Thanks  very much for organising the reunion. Glenys and I had a great weekend.
You should be very pleased with the outcome. I thought the arrangements with the three events were spot on . It was good that partners were included and thought of. The idea of the band was great from that point of view. I also realise that there was a significant amount of work, planning and worry that your plans would work. I think you could not have expected a better result.     Regards David

Paul Jennings Thanks to the two R-s for organising a great weekend. It was great to catch up - I had forgotten how much fun we used to have. The studies were not always great but the social life always compensated - particularly for the non students.
As they say in the classics - you can take the boy out of Frognall  but you cannot take Frognall out of the boy. Look forward to the next reunion in three years - and catching with many others before then. Best regards, Paul

Paul Lanagan From my wife Helen and I, thanks for all the work you and the team did in organising a fantastic night. I was interested to see the photos and hear the stories from earlier courses than mine. (I still remember the old, battered LP of "North to Alaska" being played in the ante room on special occasions when I was at Frognall.) A very enjoyable night. Regards, Paul 19 DCS

Bruce Green Rod, thanks to you and Ralph and your crew for organisation of an outstanding weekend. I continue to be amazed at the fellowship that exists in the group over such an extended period and with such irregular meetings. I am interested in obtaining the photo CD and DVD. Regards to all, Bruce

Glenn Evans It was great to see so many people renew old acquaintances and enjoy themselves over the Reunion07 weekend. Its success is a tribute to all your hard work, and the efforts of Ralph and others.
I vote that the next one be held in 2010, rather than waiting another five years! Regards, Glenn

John Wilshire What can I say. You and Ralph did such a fantastic job putting the show together, for which we shall always be grateful. Yes please put me down for copies of CDROM/DVD. Best Regards...

Henry Kaye Firstly, thanks for your hospitality last weekend. I don't know how you keep up with all the comings and goings in your household. I'm showing my age now but my short term memory isn't reliable enough to remember what age I was at over the weekend. Julie and I had a great time over the whole weekend. Great effort by you Ralph and Phil to get it organized and running as well as it did. Thanks guys, See you again some time. Killa (aka Henry).

Barry White What a great success of reunion events.  I would like a copy of both disks being prepared, let me know when to send how much to cover costs. Cheers for now and thanks...

Greg McGlone Great job...  Everyone I spoke to said how much they had enjoyed the nights!
Count me in for both. I didn't actually get to see the movies.

Andy Esler Great weekend well done.  Forgot to do an attitude check though. "We hate this fff place"

Laurie Lindsay Rod & Ralph, What a great weekend.   Stokes was worried on Friday night, because he was walking down Swanston St with Mick McKee and Larry Moses.  His concern would have been understandable 40 years ago. Your band even got me dancing with Carol for the first time in 20 years.
A lady named Catherine asked me to scan the Froggers logo and it is attached. I will send you a CD of the photos that I took. I would appreciate copies of the any CDs that are produced.

Tom Englesman Rod, first off, congrats to you and the rest of the team for what ended up as being just first rate. We thoroughly enjoyed the time, and will work to make sure that it is not another 35 years before we some of the people again !! Anyway, we would like to have the CD/information, and more than happy to pay the costs for the same. Just let me know how much, and where to send. I hope to catch up again in the near future, since the evening was more than a bit "hectic' Cheers

George Breen Thanks again for all you efforts - and a very sucessful evening. Count me in for the DVD...

Bill Mayne Rod,  Great. I would be interested in the CD/DVD. Also, many thanks for all your hard work in organizing the weekend.  It was great to see some of the old faces again.

John (R) Baker Rod & Ralph Many thanks for all the effort in putting such a great weekend together - it was great. Amazing how Friday night encouraged one to (again) take on more Carlton Draught than reasonable. The dinner dance was excellent - the venue, the speakers, the band and of course catching up with all those Fusiliers. It was amazing to see so many from that era in one room. Thanks again

Jenny Fantini You did a great job organising the evening and event - it is much appreciated. Regards, Jenny

Garry Bates I have been through the Reunion 07 web site today and can see it was obviously a great event. It was wonderful to see so many faces of old ageing disgracefully! Congratulations to you and Ralph for pulling it together. Sad that Carolyn and I just couldn't make it. I vote for Reunion10. Cheers, Garry

Dave Appleby  What a great night.  Many thanks for the wonderful organising. Regards, Dave

Craig Fitzgerald Hi Rod and Ralph, Congratulations guys. That was very well done. I would love to have been there but simply could not make it. Looking at the photos was fantastic - some people were so easy to recognise, and others….not so easy. Is there any chance I could have a copy of the CD or photos with captions. I would be happy to transfer funds to make sure you guys were not out of pocket. All the best..

Frank Perrone Rod,Ralph,Phil Great planning and fantastic afternoon at the Oxford and dinner/reunion on Saturday.  Great to see folks that we had not seen for 40 years and that were important to us during those teenage years at froggers. Any CD's you produce re the event that I would love a copy. Many thanks once again and have a great Xmas....

Michael McKee I am available yearly if necessary. Its just so great to see close mates again. Living in the west means that contact with the guys I grew up with (yes I have matured) are too infrequent. 2013 is OK with me. Mick

Graeme Cooper I would like to add my thanks to the chorus of congratulations for you and Ralph for the reunion last week.  We had an excellent time and would certainly do it again if the opportunity presents.
I have attached some pics we took and I would like a copy of a photo CD when you produce one and of Scruff's DVD as well. Regards Graeme

Randall Kingsley Belated thanks for the great work to organize the reunion.  We were very pleased to have the opportunity to catch up with other old timers.  And great to see most were in very fine form after all these years. Regards, Randall

Garry Haensel Many thanks for the week-end.  Both Jan and I had a great time, and we appreciate all the work that you did to ensure such a well organized event.  How could this be repeated??!!!  May we place an order for the CD-ROM and the DVD, please. All the very best, and cheers, Garry

Elio Grohovaz Many thanks for organising a wonderful event.  On the Sunday I had many requests for a photo of the "Opium Wars" cannon and I was able to find one photo of the offending article which you may wish to place on the web site. Cheers,

Keith Dinnerville What a fantastic time was had by all over the Reunion week end with due thanks to you and Ralph for all the hard work you both did to make it a real success. Regards, Keith

John Pluck Many thanks for a great weekend - Lyn and I would be interested in 2010 - may not recognise anyone in 2013!!  Cheers, John

Trevor Norris It has taken me a while to write & thank you & Ralph & whoever else was involved in organising a great night. I met so many people I hadn't seen since 1970 & was amazed that we just picked up as if no time had passed at all. I would certainly like to get the CDs you speak of. Warm regards ....
